Before NFL free agency began, Denver Broncos general manager George Paton and team owner/CEO Greg Penner said the club would be "measured" during free agency, hinting that the Broncos wouldn't be making many big splashes.

They certainly undersold the team's strategy.

Denver ended up making three big splashes with the additions of safety Talanoa Hufanga, linebacker Dre Greenlaw and tight end Evan Engram, and they brought back in-house defensive lineman D.J. Jones. In all, the Broncos have signed five outside free agents and five in-house free agents thus far.

Here's a look at the team's moves after a week and two days of official free agency.

Broncos free agency signings

  1. S Talanoa Hufanga (3 years)
  2. LB Dre Greenlaw (3 years)
  3. WR Trent Sherfield (2 years)
  4. TE Evan Engram (2 years)
  5. P Matt Haack (1 year)
  6. QB Jarrett Stidham (2 years)
  7. LS Mitchell Fraboni (3 years)
  8. DL D.J. Jones (3 years)
  9. OT Matt Peart (2 years)
  10. LB Justin Strnad (1 year)

In addition to those unrestricted free agent deals, Denver also gave one-year tenders to five exclusive rights free agents: CB Ja'Quan McMillian, TE Lucas Krull, OLB Dondrea Tillman, DL Jordan Jackson and DB Devon Key. Meanwhile, five in-house free agents left the team to join other clubs.

The Broncos seem to be done with splash signings, so attention now turns to the 2025 NFL draft (April 24-26 in Wisconsin). Denver holds seven draft picks this year.
