The Denver Broncos are doing their due diligence on the top running backs in this year's NFL draft class.
After the team patched up holes on defense and at tight end during free agency, the Broncos are now expected to address the running back position early in the draft.
One of the top RBs in this year's class is Ohio State's Quinshon Judkins, who Denver recently hosted on a pre-draft visit, according to The Draft Network's Ryan Fowler.
Judkins (6-0, 221 pounds) ran a 40-yard dash in 4.48 seconds and a 10-yard split in 1.51 seconds at the NFL combine. He started his college career at Mississippi before transferring to Ohio State to play in a shared backfield with TreVeyon Henderson.
Draft Wire's Jeff Risdon has Judkins ranked as the fifth-best running back in the class behind Kaleb Johnson, Henderson, Omarion Hampton and Ashton Jeanty.
Judkins rushed 194 times for 1,060 yards and 14 touchdowns in 16 games with the Buckeyes last fall while adding 22 receptions for 161 yards and two scores. He is now projected as a second-round prospect. The Broncos hold seven picks this year, including No. 51 overall in the second round. The 2025 NFL draft will be held in Wisconsin from April 24-26.
