The Cleveland Browns are hosting top linebacker prospect and former Georgia Bulldog Jalon Walker for a 2025 NFL draft pre-draft visit.

This news is according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Walker has emerged as one of the top defensive players in the 2025 NFL Draft. His visit is a sign that the Browns are doing their due diligence on potential trade-down candidates as they hold the No. 2 overall pick in the draft. This could also be to smokescreen to opposing teams that they have an interest in their pick to drive up the price.

During his three-year collegiate career, Walker was an excellent player for the Georgia Bulldogs. In 2024, the Butkus Award winner recorded 60 combined tackles and 6.5 sacks in 14 games. Having just turned 21 years old in February, his potential at the professional level is sky-high. This pick would also make sense, given the uncertain future of star linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah.

Considering recent rumors surrounding Cleveland's second-overall pick, selecting Walker would be a bold move. Currently, the team is favored to select Heisman winner Travis Hunter from the Colorado Buffaloes. However, if the Browns were to trade down from their top pick, selecting Jalon Walker would become a more serious option.
