Bruins acquire forward Ondrej Kase from Ducks

The Boston Bruins killed two birds with one stone on Friday afternoon. Not only did the club add a valuable and highly sought-after forward in Ondrej Kase for the stretch run, they ridded themselves of David Backes and a large chunk of his inflated salary, too. Aside from Backes' cap hit and his deteriorating game, the Anaheim Ducks also acquired Boston's 2020 first-round draft pick along with defense prospect Axel Andersson in the deal.
