The Knicks had been calling about Stephon Marbury since the Phoenix Suns acquired him.
They felt like the trade was too good to be true, so they had to do it to get themselves flexibility.
He said they still have an enviable court of young players. He said he could say that because he still gets a lot of calls on the rest of them as well.
He is comparing it to the Larry Nance deal as far as the flexibility and young talent they will be acquiring.
Bryan Colangelo is saying needs to do more research on Vujanic's contract situation. He said he believes he does have an NBA buyout on a contract with Skipper Bologna.
He said Charlie Ward will never play for the Phoenix Suns. The New York Knicks gave them the cash to buy him out.
He said he talked to Antonio McDyess earlier and let him know that there was absolutely no grudges. He said they will look at McDyess to see what he can contribute.
Lastly, one of the things he mentioned was that they anticipate right now having $5-8 million in cap space next summer, but there are moves that look like a real possibility that would free up even more room. He said he was not at liberty to discuss those moves.
