Michigan State basketball is back in the NCAA Tournament for the 27th consecutive year, the longest active streak in the NCAA. The Spartans will open their tournament on Friday night when they face off with the 15-seeded Bryant Bulldogs.

MSU's opponent, Bryant, is coached by Phil Martelli Jr., the son of legendary college basketball coach Phil Martelli, who is also a good friend of Tom Izzo. On Sunday, after Martelli spoke on his relationship with Izzo, he talked about the Spartans team as a whole, giving a slight preview on the matchup between the Bulldogs and Spartans.

Martelli Jr. shared that this MSU team has a unique bond through the experiences they have been through, sharing that they know what it is like to be on the big stage, while the Bulldogs are going to prepare to be ready for the big stage.
