He's embarassing

So there is a ***** in Whisenhunt's armor. He brought this guy who had never accomplished anything in the NFL to Arizona and got the Cards to sign him to a contract with a $200k bonus and a million dollar salary.

OK so he's allowed one mistake.

Time to correct it and give him to the Chiefs. Do you think they'll take BSP if we pay for transportation?

What makes you think the Chiefs would want him? They are seeing the same things you are. :mulli:

You could see St. Pierre trying to make something happen but he just wasn't talented enough. Maybe he will be a coach someday since he practices well and can read a playbook.

he just sucks out loud. embarrassment to watch. If it wasn't for some great plays by the receivers, he could have had only one completion.

I think you guys are being a bit too harsh here. The guy did his best but couldn't cut it, no need for these types of insults. I did watch the Chiefs game the other day though and I dont think they have a place for him. Guttierez (?) has the 3rd string spot and looked better than BSP IMO.

Remember, according to certain people Haley really wanted BSP. In fact we had an entire thread about why BSP would stay in AZ behind Warner and Leinart instead of going to KC given the circumstances.

I don't think he will be cut but should. I would like to see more of Palko in the next two games and see if he is a keeper.

Haley wanted BSP before training camp for the veteran minimum because Haley was doing what every single New Head coach does. Brings in a backup QB he is familiar with to help teach his offense. Well training camp is over and he doesn't need that from BSP anymore. Not sure he would want him now.

I would rather have Palko as the #3, not because he is better then BSP or anything but we would save about 500k and if are #3 QB is in a regular season game you can just pack it up anyways, doesn't matter who that is BSP or Palko.

Honestly after rewatching the game this morning I honestly belive Palko gives us the better chance to win as well. Talk abut shrinking from the spot light.

On the contrary Matt looks very comfortable out there - way moreso then last year. Almost like he is almost comfortable in his own skin.

I posted something similar on another thread.

I think it's pretty obvious that our first 2 QB's are Warner and Leinart.

Under what circumstances, then, would you need to trot out your #3?

Answer - (Except during complete blowouts) when your top 2 QB's are unable to play.

In most situations like this, you can expect the Cards to be playing from behind, needing to catch up and trying to conserve clock-time. Which means throwing the ball most if not all the time.

The opposing defense will be, no doubt licking its chops, pawing the ground and sending everyone to rush the passer.

In those situations, what you really don't want is a less-mobile, slower-thinking version of Marc Bulger. You want someone who can (a) escape the rush with his feet, (b) make quick accurate decisions and (c) get rid of the ball before the enemy kills him.

Based on what I've seen to date, this doesn't sound like BSP.

It does, however (based on a half-quarter's worth of playing time) sound a bit like Palko.

Some guys are better closers than starters or setup men. BSP might be better suited to eventually start somewhere. Palko may be the better QB coming off the bench.

They gave BSP every opportunity to succeed last night and he failed. Leaving the #1 guys in. Putting him for 4 or 5 series. 4 wide sets. There are a lot of complaints I have about BSP, but the biggest is that when the pocket collapses, he panics. At least Warner has the instincts to throw the ball to the nearest receiver and Leinart can roll out or bootleg.

Quitely in 2 games Matt has been not only the best 2nd option but he's played the best of any QB this preseason so far.

Everyone seems to be focusing on BSP vs Matt but Kurt meanwhile needs to step it up soon.

Yeah BSP had the starting O-Line for the entire second quarter and still had the "happy feet"

I agree but hope to see more of him in the next two games. Especially the last game where your really don't want to play your starters.

You wont even see Palko in the 3rd game. With the #1's playing into the 3rd quarter a lot of the #3's and especially #4's wont get any playing time. Palko will have to make his mark in the 4th game. We will probably see only 2 QB's play next week with maybe the 3 getting the very last possession.

I agree everytime bsp throws a pass I expect to be inc or picked off... he is just horrible to watch, and what was with him trying to run for yards last night he is not a scrambler. I hope Leinart starts at the number 2 qb the next preseason game maybe than we can actually get a td lol.

When my mom suggests BSP has had sexual intercourse with someone or knows something about Whisenhunt in order to stay on the team, I know he is bad. Please cut him so I never have to hear such a suggestion again in my life.

Even though he wont be out there, Palko should be given a look next week. Only fair to the team because he has shown some promise while BSP has looked timid. Not saying that Palko is the next Kurt Warner, but he has definitely proven to me to be the better QB between him and BSP. Plus, he's younger and has a good rapport with our #1 receiver.
