CBS Sports gave us a special mock draft this week, and we wanted to discuss the Bucs' selections specifically.
Chris Trapasso wrote up three rounds worth of picks for all 32 NFL teams, and the Bucs came away in a better situation than most. Their first-round pick was Nick Emmanwori, a safety out of South Carolina, who tested well at the Scouting Combine, and the film speaks for itself when you watch him.
Trapasso writes, "Emmanwori and Antoine Winfield Jr. can be a spectacular safety tandem in Tampa Bay. Electric athleticism and instincts galore." It is a simple explanation of the pick but it does create a picture of a dream pairing.
Their other two draft picks are linebacker Carson Schwesinger and edge rusher Kyle Kennard. Both address the Bucs' other defensive needs and can be immediate impact players. As mock drafts go, this is one of the better ones we have seen for the Bucs.
