The Buffalo Bills have created a reunion during the 2025 NFL free agency market.

Cornerback Dane Jackson is returning to Buffalo via a one-year deal. The team announced the move but full terms of the contract have yet to be announced:

Jackson was a seventh-round pick of the Bills in 2020. He spent the first four years of his career in Buffalo before leaving as a free agent last offseason.

The Carolina Panthers signed him to a two-year deal but he failed to perform well. After only appearing in nine games in 2024, Jackson was cut last month. The 28-year-old defended two passes with the Panthers along with 23 tackles including one for loss.

Jackson's best season was in 2022 with the Bills when he appeared in 15 games with 14 starts. Jackson had two interceptions, 12 passes defended, a forced fumble and 57 tackles including one for loss that year.

Jackson heads back to Buffalo as Christian Benford is now the team's No. 1 cornerback. Jackson will have a potential path to playing time as things currently stand as the Bills traded former first-round pick Kaiir Elam and Rasul Douglas remains a free agent.

Bills Wire will continue to provide updates throughout the 2025 offseason.
