Having just toasted my hard drive I offer these titbits to assist others.

- Partition your drive, make a small say 80gb partition to put windows in. All your dats on the rest of the drive. If you do this when you reinstall only the small partition gets nuked.
- Slipstream a new Windows cd [url to follow]. This lets you build a new cd from your orgiginal but with all the services packs, hot fixes and drivers installed. And you can pre anwer install questions, including the product key.
