"The Suns could easily fit Cabarkapa in their rotation. He is a versatile 22-year old with a long wingspan who can play all three forward positions, but most likely will play small forward in the NBA. " - John Gambadoro

I didn't know there were three forward spots. Or is he saying this guy is good enough to play for the three forwards Frank Johnson usually has on the floor at one time? :D If he can take the place of three guys at once, I say pick him!! ;)

I like Darko but I am not sure he can play the 4 or 5 spot for us. I am starting to look at Cook or some type of athletec shot blocker. It looks like the Suns are willing to move Bo so we will need some energy off the bench. THE DRAFT IS A COMING!!!

I think Zarko is a better option that what the Suns normally put out there at the 4 position as a backup. He doesn't have the bulk (I think he's like 220 lbs right now), but he does have height at 6'11. He also has some quickness and athleticism. Plus he has some offensive ability which we don't usually get from our Centers or Bo Outlaw.

4.3 rebounds a game and no defensive skills does not get it done.

No I do not think their interest in Zarko is a smokescreen. I believe it will be the Suns pick.

If you look at his stats on NBAdraft.net then you would see that he averaged 7.2 RPG in 2000-2001, so he does have some ability to rebound. It was once he moved to a new team that his rebounding went down. Maybe he wasn't getting as much playing time (nbadraft doesn't have statistics for minutes per game). His 3 pt % hasn't been very good over his career, but his FG % is very good.

I haven't seen him play in person so I don't know if he can play any defense or not. He has some strengths and weaknesses when it comes to defense according to the reviews. One says defensively he is close to solid. He is keen on stealing balls and grabbing offensive rebounds for garbage points, but it also says he needs to add muscle. The other says he possess a solid work ethic that should continue to develop his potential ...Has the physical tools to be a competent defender such as long arms and decently quick hands ... , but also it says: defensively he lacks many of the basic skills such as anticipation and intensity ... Needs to improve on gaining lateral quickness defensively as quick players can trouble him ... Would greatly benefit by adding more weight and strength to his upper body ... While he has great height he is not much of a rebounder due in part to him often being out of position and lacking body strength.

It sounds like with proper coaching he could improve in every aspect of his game.

The only problem with Dan Langhi is he doesn't do what he was supposed to do.

Zarko sounds like Langhi who can do his job, which is to knock down that 20' jumper, occassionaly hit some threes, and provide a long option at the 3 and 4.

I am not looking for Dirk Nowitzki at the 17th pick, I am looking for a roleplayer who will compliment our offense. In my opinion our team's depth lacks size and the ability to consistently hit an outside jumper.
