The Detroit Pistons will be without their best player when they host the Eastern Conference's best team on Friday.

Cade Cunningham was ruled out of the game Thursday night with a left calf contusion, marking the third-consecutive game he's missed with the injury. Dennis Schröder will likely replace him in the starting lineup.

Cunningham reached the NBA's 65-game threshold in Miami against the Heat last Wednesday, qualifying him for the NBA's end-of-season awards. He was ruled out of Sunday's home game against the New Orleans Pelicans shortly before opening tip, and was initially designated "questionable" on Tuesday against the San Antonio Spurs.

The breakout star is averaging 25.7 points, 9.2 assists and 6.1 rebounds per game.
