UCLA returns a pick for a touchdown! Ball game all but over now. This has easly been the strangest season I've ever seen!

I said it before the game and I will again, they shouldn't have played Longshore. You could tell on the first series the ankle was bugging him he couldn't step into throws. Even the long td to Jackson was a blooper lobbed over the defense totally on arm, no legs at all. Riley made the stupid play at the end of the OSU game but he showed otherwise that he has a chance to be pretty good. Going with Longshore totally changed the game they were running shotgun a ton so he wouldn't have to move as much which impacted the run game.

Is this the UCLA that got blown out by Utah?

hehe. (Got to get those digs in when the opportunities arise) And lost at home to Notre Lame?

Hey, Russ, losses sometimes occur because the other team just beats you. Man up, mister. No whining!

Hop on a plane to Peru, fish for some black marlin and relax. Hoops are just a few weeks away.

Yep, UCLA is the most unpredictable team in the conference this year.

Uh, last I looked, UCLA was undefeated in PAC 11 play at 4-0, tied for 1st place. Unpredictable? Look more toward USC, Cal, and Oregon St.

That's probably because Karl Dorrell is a pretty bad coach.

Mao, do you really believe that or are you just getting in a dig? The loss to Notre Lame wasn't on Dorrell. It was a fluke. His players (5 different players, I believe) turned the ball over 7 times. Bear Bryant couldn't have coached his way to a win in that game.

I'm not sure who I'm whining about I wanted Cal to win not UCLA.
Cal's defense is just not good enough they have to score at least 30 to win most games. With Longshore hobbled I think the best move was play Riley he actually looked really good against OSU in the 2nd half save that stupid last play.

UCLA is a wildly unpredictable team which is basically what I said before they'd played a game, they're overrated off of last year.

Cal was clearly overrated too the defense is way down from a year ago.

And lost to Utah 44-6 and ND 20-6 thus the unpredictable rap.

Note I agree the turnovers lost the game against ND and a walkon at QB will do that to you but that was just an ugly loss. The next lowest points allowed for ND this year is 27 against BC.

I actually know a guy who remarkably is both an ND and UCLA fan. He says this is the craziest year on record for him, ND is horrible, and UCLA is completely unpredictable. He thought Cal would rout them for the same reason I did, we didn't believe Cowan could last a quarter based on reports about his health.
