If he would quit trying to throw it to Fitz we might be winning. Stevie has been open ALL night long

There weren't very many DA lovers on this forum. Most of us recognized that we were going nowhere with Leinart and there was no reason to have two horrible vets on the team if you have 2 interesting rookie QB's. We could only keep one loser veteran QB and DA won by default.

DA isn't the QBOTF but he is still twice the QB Leinart is. Would we even have any points on the board with Leinart at the helm?

Not a DA lover, but he did enough to win the game.

Plus he was tough enough to endure the beating he took.

You wanna rip into someone then lets talk about Tim Hightower and his "effort" today.

Not a DA lover by any stretch, but he's 1-0 as a starter with us and that's all that matters.

A bit more rapport with Fitz and it won't look so bad..but him being inaccurate and off the script with Fitz makes it look REALLY bad. Also, he played tough after taking a lot of hits.

Bradford took A TON of hits too, and was playing well for a rookie...the kid is good.

THT deflected a lot of heat from DA. If that was a good game from DA, I'd hate to see a bad one.

I am still here. We won. He threw for nearly 300 yards. He was beat up by hit after hit and like a junk yard dog. You can never say Anderson does not have courage. He and Fitz have some work to do but he did better than I thought he would. The big think is that we won.

Above 50% completion numbers, the game winning touchdown, and no ints in his first game, without having ever played with the team's most potent offensive weapon. I will take this and be pretty happy. Derek Anderson took a bunch of huge shots, and still made the plays that the Cardinals needed to win a division game on the road.

You can hate all you want, but DA came up big today. He wasn't perfect, but he made enough plays to win despite Tim Hightower.

I'll take 22-41, 297 yards, 1 TD in a win over 21-39, 235 yards, 3 TD's, 3 INT's in a blowout loss. :D

He played his guts out. Yes, if it was me, Leinart would've been out there. But, frick that now. Anderson is undefeated as Cards starter.

No doubt.

Without Beanie, without Fitz at 100%, with penalties, pressures, bad throws, fumbles, etc.

I'll take 1-0.

DA "lovers"... reason number 1 this thread is ********.

talking **** to those "lovers" after the dude looked like crap most of the game, took a beating and still led a game-winning 4th quarter TD makes it even worse.

I likely caused that by earlier calling DA's detractors "Leinart-lovers."

What's frustrating is DA had 101 yds at the end of the 1st qtr then get anymore yards till the middle of the 3rd.... horrible off target throws is the cause of it

We one the game dispite our run game and o-line. No Anderson is not there yet, but he showed some moxie. We needed the Bean in there. We need Anderson and Fitz to work all week at seeing each others moves. Breastons a beast and Doucet was playing good till he hurt himself, So whats new there. I'll take the win and hope the QB and reecievers can get on the same page. In the meantime I'm not in love with the guy, but I will give him some slack. Derek Anderson is the man.

I thought we won today? If you are going to trash the QB at least wait until he loses a game. :)

IMO, I see improvement in DA's play. Starting with the Houston PS game, it seems to me that he's getting better, every game. Can he get his completion percentage closer to 60%? We'll see. It would be nice if the running game took some of the pressure off.

54% completion rate.

He is what we thought he was.

He played better than I expected. I thought for sure he would make a mistake trying to force the ball and make a comeback in the 4th Qtr but he didn't.

I can't believe how this board is flaming DA already...you just want to prove yourself right vs Leinart. Careful...there has been a lot of that the last 2 years that didn't work either. This board is always looking to flame someone...too much faith in Coach Whiz, Warner is done, etc. Meanwhile, the last 3 years have been the best 3 year run as a Cardinal fan in 30 years.

Fitz was clearly not Fitz. The endzone throw was nearly perfect but he slowed down right at the end (maybe his knee tweaked?). But if you watch the replay...the ball was right were Fitz normally would be.

Take out the 15 throws to Fitz (3 completions)...DA was 19/26 (73%).

He will get on the same page as Fitz very quickly and Bridges will replace Keith.
