Thats the word in KC. Highly unlikely on the surface, but when you look at how the schedule lays out and the fact its highly unlikely they lose at home, well, the '72 Dolphins need to keep the champagne on ice...

@Denver
@Minnesota

appear to be the biggest stumbling blocks left.

There's really two questions: Can they run the table? and, Will they run the table?

I think the answer is yes and no. They certainly have the taem and the schedule, but they have history working against them. Someone is bound to beat them. "Any given Sunday..."

NO.

No Trent Green is just enough to stop the run.

They need 1 bad game on offense and it is over since there defense is not that strong.

But none the less they will only lose 1 or 2 which is incredible in the NFL.

Well, I will definitely say they CAN. I will also say I think there's a good chance they will. The schedule's there, and something just tells me that now's the time. Their defense is actually pretty good. Their special teams are incredible. And their offense? 'Nuff said.

I'm pulling for them for 2 reasons. One, I have a buddy that's a Chief's fan, and he's going crazy right now. Two, my best friend and I said, way back when the Ravens dumped Priest to draft Jamal, that it was unnecessary, that Priest was going to be solid. I think I'm justified in that, and I've been a minor Holmes fan ever since.

I think they can and surprisingly enough I think this weekends game vs. the Bengals is going to be a huge obstacle. Not because the Bengals are anything special but more so that KC is 9-0 and may make the mistake of taking the Bengals lightly or looking past them. I don't believe Vermeil would look past any team on his schedule - but he needs to get keep his players focused and on fire or else there could be trouble.

It might come down to if they rest their starters at the end of the regular season. The Chiefs are beatable, but still competitive, without Green, Hall, and Holmes.

If they are 2 games away from an undefeated season, they won't rest their starters. That's an enourmous accomplishment and is almost as big as winning the championship--maybe bigger--it will certainly be remembered longer.

No. Trent Green will lose a game somewhere along the line and the KC defense is just okay, not great.

My guess is they finish 15-1 but Tennessee will beat them in the playoffs.

I can't help it...... wasn't it three years ago that the Chiefs were whipping boys in the AFC(6-10 in 2001).... now we talk about an undefeated season.... why can't this happen in AZ????
frustration I guess, maybe jealousy, uugghhh!

My personal opinion on this being in KC is that the odds are they lose one game.

Which for a Super Bowl run would be good but there is a chance they just might go undefeated in the regular season.

Trent Green is much better since Shea has worked with him and they have too many weapons.

They don't use Gonzales near as much anymore because they don't have to but they break him out when it is called for. They are simply clicking on all cylinders but of course they put Trent Green on the cover of SI so it is all over now.

I disagree on the Titans beating them it will be in Arrowhead by all indications and Denver is the only team that has a good chance of winning there it is like a pit of death for other teams.

The Chiefs have choked in Arrowhead before but that was under Marty, Vermeil is much better balanced they are even better than they are billed to be.

Agreed. If the '85 Bears couldn't run the table in a 16-game schedule--losing only to the Dolphins, appropriately--no team ever will.

In week 14, the Broncos will be waiting in Denver, probably fighting for their playoff lives, at a point where the only thing the Chiefs will be playing for is homefield advantage. With Plummer back, the Broncos should look more like the team that lost at Arrowhead by one point in week 5. I figure the KC streak ends in front of 76,000 screaming fans at Invesco Field.

And the corks pop in Miami.

Nope...That's Priest 'C'mon homes, get out a' my way' Holmes! :D

Everytime my friend and I see/hear something about Priest, we laugh and do the c'mon homes bit in a silly voice, because some funny buddy of ours came up with it.
