Can we sign 10 day contracts yet?

Can you sign 10 day contracts year round, or is it only after a specific date?

Only after January 5th.

I would like to see us bring in Marcus Fizer on a 10 day contract. He's playing pretty well in the NBDL with 18ppg & 7rpg. I think he's had some issues with playing time and teammates in the past, but he hasn't been in the best systems with the Bulls and the Bucks.

If he is in the NBDL, I believe his rights belong to another team,so we can't just sign anyone. But maybe there are players in that league who's rights are not claimed

If I'm remembering correctly then teams can only send down players that have 3 yrs or less experience and Fizer has more than that so I'm assuming he signed with them because no NBA team was willing to give him a contract.

they can only be sent down if they have less then 2 years experance.
