The Vancouver Canucks (30-24-11) kick off a weekend back-to-back on Saturday when they face the Chicago Blackhawks (20-37-9). This will be the final of three meetings between these two teams, with Vancouver holding a 2-0 season-series advantage. With a victory, the Canucks would jump back above the playoff bar and, at least for the night, hold the second Wild Card spot.

With the playoffs on the horizon, Vancouver can not afford to waste opportunities against lower-seeded teams. While the Blackhawks are rebuilding and have eyes on first-overall in the 2025 draft, they can still shock teams and pull off impressive victories. At this stage of the season, the Canucks need to remain focused and not look past Chicago; otherwise, it could result in a problematic loss.
Players to Watch:
Filip Chytil:
After a strong start to his career in Vancouver, Filip Chytil has struggled to produce points since the team returned from the 4 Nations Face-Off break. He has just one goal in his last ten games and has gone pointless in his previous five. If Chytil can have a breakout game offensively, it should help him build some confidence heading into the final stretch of the season.
Connor Bedard:
For the second time in his career, Canucks fans will get to see Connor Bedard play at Rogers Arena. The 2024 Calder Trophy winner is having a strong season and leads the Blackhawks in points with 52. With a player as competitive as Bedard, you know he is going to have a strong performance, especially with family and friends watching on.
