And the bottom 4 are top 10 teams. Go figure. Yet we "can't afford" to get good free agents and yet the bottom 4 teams can while keeping their top talent.

What happened to the Rams' cap space?

They have a lot of high pick contracts that they're still paying off under the old CBA. Sam Bradford has a cap number of $15.595 million this year. It's possible they had to absorb some of Jason Smith's contract/accelerated bonus in the trade to the Jets. From what I can tell from Spotrac, the Rams are on the hook for a little more than $3.2 million in dead money for Smith in 2012 and 2013.

Griffin certainly seems like a transcendant player right now. The good thing for the long-term with the Rams is that they're going to add 4-5 starters over the next couple of drafts (1st and 2nd round picks) that cost just absolute pennies. Instant starters for less than we're paying Adam Snyder.

Their most important offensive player is Bradford, and their most important defensive player is Chris Long. They're also their most highly paid players. Everyone else is young (read: cheap). The 2012 Rams are like an expansion team, and it seems to me like they're doing it the right way.

They have to draft well to get it done right, but they certainly have the capital to do some things.

the Patriots made them look pretty bad. Why Bradford stopped challenging the Pats secondary is beyond me.

Yeah I have seen many mock drafts that have the Rams getting Eric Reid
and Luke Joeckl or Taylor Lewan

Id be losing my mind if I were a Jags fan.

Every year they have enormous cap space and never use it. Right this second, I can only name 3 Jags players: MJD, Gabbert and Mercedes Lewis. GO GET SOME TALENT.

Jeez, they are like the penny pincher Cardinals from 12 years ago.

wasn't their a salary floor this year under the new CBA? I thought teams had to spend at least 90% of their cap or something along those lines?

It's surprising to me that Philly has that much cap space. They seem to be one of the well paying teams. Denver is also a surprise since they gave Manning about 1 billion dollars.

I would like to see a list of OLine Spending by each team. I would guess we are going to be a team that has spent less than anyone.

Levi Brown: 5yr 25 million
Daryn Colledge: 5yr 27.5 million
Lyle Sendlein: 5yr 16.25 million
Adam Snyder: 5yr 17.5 million

I think everyone else is on vet minimum or a rookie contract.
