How much cap space do we have left? I know the rook's will run around $5-$5.5 mill. this year after that what do we have left;I think the team is looking for that June 1st date to get here B-4 the make anymore big splash's in FA.

Just looking at the signings that we have had I would say we are down to about 16 million, with around 60 already on the roster. Looking at years past I don't remember seeing that many good free agents released after June 1st. If we are going to upgrade this team in FA I would think it would come before June 1. Right now I don't see much improvement with this team, if anything we have taken a step back by losing Boston and Plummer.

Did we take a step back by losing Boston? Yes, there isn't a doubt in my mind.

Did we take a step back by losing Plummer? No. In fact, we upgraded the position.

Well at least we agree on Boston. I don't think Blake is better than Plummer. Blake to me is a nice #2 QB to have but in no way do I want him as my starter. If Blake gives us a winning season I will be glad to eat my words and chase them down with several cold ones but as of right now I believe otherwise.

After Plummer the last 4 years, how can we even imply Plummer would make a nice #2 QB? Look at the QB ratings for Plummer. I'm not saying Blake is an upgrade, but I wouldn't even want Plummer as my #2 QB.

I think that Blake is a great care-taker #1, who can play for 2-3 years while you groom an actual Franchise QB. I think that's what we were looking for, and that's what we got.

If anything, losing Jake was a positive because it allows us to move on into the future at the QB position.
