The Washington Capitals sit atop the Metropolitan Division with an 11-2 record that largely came on the backs of their star players, Alex Ovechkin and John Carlson. They'll look to continue their winning ways against the Florida Panthers on Wednesday night. Carlson had a historic October, notching himself 23 points (seven goals, 16 assists), which set a franchise record for the most points scored in a calendar month by a defenseman.
