Here's why you kick that short FG earlier: Your sub kicker already has confidence issues after last week. Give him a layup to help him get beyond it. By not trusting him to hit a 29-yarder, you've just added another entire layer of doubt in his mind.

Cards will probably need a late kick to win again, and he'll shank it again. And I'll blame Kliff for showing no confidence earlier.
