Leadership is also very important. He was very popular when he was here. He's not expected to start but will have certain packages designed to get him on the field. He'll also add a veteran presence to not just a defensive line room but a locker room that's looking to take the next step and make a playoff push this coming season. He still had 5 sacks last year and 12 TFL. Love the signing.

Good pick up if for no other reason than he’s a legit vet with a voice the young guys will listen to. Leadership is key for any team and Calais brings almost two decades worth of it to then team.

Even beyond that, 5 sacks and 12 TFL is still pretty solid and the TFL are more than I expected. The D-Line rotation should be much improved this season. That’s exciting.

With everything we added to our front 7 in FA, I’m guessing that our first pick ends up O-line at this point.

And considering the QB position doesn’t seem to bring much leadership…

One of my wishes for this season is now this: i hope every time i see Calais...I see DRob right next to him and visa versa. DRob seems like a very dedicated person, and i feel like there is literally no better mentor for a young player to be around than Calais Campbell.

Im calling it right now...April 1st...no jokes...to quote Charles Barkley " i don't whistle when I walk past the grave yard or nothin"...

Calais Campbell is going to be a Walter Payton Man of the Year finalist, and might win it. And he is going to have a sack late in year that gets us into the playoffs.

This is my first thought and hope. If Robinson can feed off CC's knowledge, this can be huge. If this signing does nothing else but help our young guys progress, then it is well worth it.

He played high, because he's so tall high center of gravity and that was always the question. I said I like him I just worry he's going to have issues with NFL offensive linemen because they're so strong and he plays so high.

Needless to say I was NOT correct.
