Ertz will be fine. I‘ve had numerous calf strains in my lifetime. It’s a 3 week injury. I’m laughing at those that think we are racking up injuries??? The most serious injury has been to our 5th/6th WR. If it’s necessary, I think it’s best if he has the surgery. His height is his only skill set, so a hip injury will render him useless. McBride is already practicing. If he doesn‘t play this weekend, he can play next weekend. Or he doesn’t play at all during the preseason. And I’m ok with that too. We need help at CB, and if the grapevine is accurate, we will be trading for one after the 2nd preseason game.

Should we be concerned about McBride’s back?
It's hard to say honestly. I'm sure they are being over cautious, but he did missing 8 games his junior season.

Talking about injuries i hope @Solar7 is fine, didn't read anything from him recently
Thanks friend, I'm alright. I made it back to the states okay and have been on bed rest waiting for followup appointments. I have an orthopedic appointment tomorrow and should be able to put to rest if I need surgery or not.

I got to watch some of the preseason replay today, but not enough to have any strong opinions. Here's hoping our TEs recover quickly too, hah.

Absolutely, yes. He might--might--get healthy in time for the season, but he's a rookie not getting reps in training camp. He won't be ready.
He's practicing in full pads. TE coach said yesterday that he could play this weekend. I doubt that he does.

If I am a TE hoping to catch on to an NFL roster during TC

the Cardinals are not the team I would be trying for.

I mean, if your hope is to maybe make the practice squad.....you dont have the drive to make it in the nfl

Because they both have back problems, one is going to play at a hall of fame level like the other? Definitely a funny.
Was just pointing out a similarity, based on previous comments. Someone mentioned McBride missing 8 games as a Jr, due to back issues...Gronk missed his entire Jr season and then went into the draft. Both had college back injuries. It shouldn't even be close to doom and gloom or worry about McBride's back. He was able to come back and play his Sr year without issue. That is all.

Can't make any team if no one else is giving you an opportunity... they are doing what they need to do to keep their dream alive.
