Tuesday, March 14, 2006

:newcards:

Tempe, AZ – Arizona Cardinals players, team mascot Big Red, cheerleaders and front office personnel have taken to the road for the third annual “Cardinals Caravan Tour” to cultivate fan relationships, and have a presence in community activities in Arizona and Nevada.

“This caravan tour presents the Arizona Cardinals Football Club with a great opportunity for our players and staff to visit fans from Arizona and Nevada,” says Ron Minegar, Cardinals Vice-President-Marketing and Sales. “Each stop will allow us*the chance to*visit with our many fans and will*help to further develop relationships with our surrounding communities.”

The fifth stop of the tour is on Thursday, March 16 when cornerbacks David Macklin and Lamont Reid along with two cheerleaders and Big Red will be in Lake Havasu.

The caravan group will visit the 13th annual “Teen Break” festival (1400 S. Smoketree Ave.) to help 1,400 6th-12th graders enjoy organized activities and games in a drug-free, safe environment during their spring break. The players will participate by coaching the mud-football finals along with signing autographs and giving out t-shirts. The group will then host a meet and greet and autograph session at Mad Dogs Sports Bar & Grill (2048 McCulloch Blvd.) from 5:00-6:30 p.m.

Also included in each stop will be information on the new Cardinals Stadium set to open this August, updated ticket information, and Cardinals giveaway items for fans.

The caravan has already previously visited Show Low/Pinetop, Henderson, Nevada, Tucson, and Prescott/Sedona in the four past trips.
