Cardinals Charities Celebrity Golf Classic XIV
The Cardinals Charities Celebrity Golf Classic will be held on Monday, May 5, 2003, at the Wigwam Golf Resort in Litchfield Park. Registration, putting contest and lunch, catered by Outback Steakhouse, begin at 11am. An awards reception and live auction and raffle will be held following tournament play. Tournament participants will have the opportunity to play golf with current Cardinals players and members of the coaching staff. Trophies will be given for first, second and third places, as well as longest drive and closest to the pin. Head Coach Dave McGinnis will serve as honorary chairman of the tournament.
Proceeds from the tournament are used for the grant program of Cardinals Charities. Cardinals Charities was established in 1990 to benefit the work of nonprofit organizations across Arizona that minister to the needs of women, children and minorities. Since that time, over $2 million dollars has been distributed to over 200 organizations.
