Cardinals | Closer to deal with Warner
Sun, 22 Feb 2009 17:59:38 -0800
Kent Somers, of The Arizona Republic, reports the Arizona Cardinals appear closer to a deal with impending free-agent QB Kurt Warner. General manager Rod Graves and Warner's agent, Mark Bartelstein, have spoken several times at the NFL Scouting Combine. It appears the two sides have narrowed the gap, at least a little. Bartelstein is believed to be seeking a deal that would put Warner among the top five highest paid quarterbacks in the league, but the Cardinals would like to stay in the $10 million range.
