Cardinals coach says team is not 'desperate' for offensive line help

This may be a bit of subterfuge on BA's part, mainly to protect draft strategy IMHO, but also to prop up the guys we have now.

Just because there were improvements in the second half with a couple of linemen, coupled with the fact that Levi is back, shouldn't detract from the fact that we need to make the line better.

have once heard BA make the statement that the TE is part of the o-line....which is technically true....opens the possibility that drafting a TE can be considered helping out the o-line.

I fully expect one to be drafted. 3-5 Rd. Maybe.

They might love Zach Ertz, but there's gonna be a lot of talent there at #38.

The Saftey Reid out of LSU is getting a lot of support around that spot.

We're not "desperate" on the offensive line. We have five NFL-quality starters once everyone's healthy. The problem is that they're all average or below-average starters, and if you shuffle everyone around, the whole is less than the sum of its parts.

The Cards' offensive line right now is superior to the Bears, Chargers, and Lions lines, at least. It might be better than several more teams.

True. I prefer our offensive line to...

Bills
Jags
Colts
Chargers
Bears
Packers
Lions

It all comes down to what you want from your offensive line. Personally, I want more. Do I believe it HAS to come from 1st round picks? No, but that is the quickest and least risky option which is why I prefer it. In short, the only thing I prefer to upgrading the offensive line is to upgrade the pass rush and the QB position. I don't there is an option in this draft that is better than Palmer. I think to upgrade the pass rush is using a first round pick.

Maybe. When I was scouting Palmer, I didn't walk away thinking that their OL was made up of a bunch of D'Anthony Batistes, though. I think that their system did a lot to make their guys look better.

I think that Flynn could be Matt Schaub-type successful on rollouts and moving pockets. They could definitely afford to upgrade, though.

The interior of our OL needs to be upgraded desperately. I believe the coach and front office are aware of that.
