Cardinals Community Events For Tuesday, September 6
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Thursday, September 1, 2005

Tempe, AZ – The Arizona Cardinals Football Club’s players and staff begin their 2005 regular season community activities next week with Gatorade Jr. Training Camps and the SRP Milk and Cookies program.

On Tuesday, September 6 guard Jeremy Bridges and team mascot Big Red will visit students at Heritage Elementary School (4027 N. 45th Avenue, Glendale) for a Gatorade Jr. Training Camp at 8 a.m. Later that afternoon guard Rolando Cantu and Big Red will be at P.T. Coe Elementary School (3801 W. Roanoke, Phoenix) at 4:30 p.m. for another Gatorade Jr. Training Camp.

The Gatorade sponsored camps, run in conjunction with elementary school physical education departments, are designed to provide children grades two-five with educational and recreational activities. A Cardinals player is joined by Big Red at each camp to help students learn non-contact skills such as passing and catching at a five-station interactive play area.

Also on Tuesday, center Nick Leckey will join Big Red from noon-1 p.m. to read to students at Isaac Imes Elementary School (6625 N. 56th Avenue, Glendale) as part of the SRP Milk and Cookies program.

The 12-month SRP Milk and Cookies program takes a Cardinals player to an elementary school to read to students on a weekly basis. Book covers are handed out to encourage youth reading.

For more information on players in the community, contact Shawn Clark (602/379-1623) or Mo Streety (602/379-1835) in the Cardinals community relations department.
