They were awarded three, staring with the first comp pick of the 3rd round #97.

The AP trade apparently did affect the number of picks.

Waiting on the other two picks...likely a 4th and a 7th.

Because AP was a UFA when he was signed by the Saints. This is why the Patriots did not include QB Brian Hoyer in the Garoppolo trade, because Hoyer was a UFA and would have counted against their 2018 comp picks, so they just waited for SF to release him and then signed him.

I thought the signings made after 1st june couldn't affect the compensatory picks and especially those trades we out of the parameters
Thank u mitch to make know another rule

Could get an additional 7th rounder depending on the conditions from the Bergstrom deal to the Ravens.

As it stands

1st
2nd
Two 3rds
4th
5th
7th

Four picks in the Top-100 is not a bad deal.

The first 5 picks for the Cardinals are:

15 (1)
47 (2)
79 (3)
97 (3-c)
134 (4-c)

Nice. Extra 3rd and getting back a lower 4th gives us some flexibility. The extra 7th basically gives us a first dibs on a UDFA.

The Comp pick process is very annoying and complicated. At least we are finally getting some decent comp picks.

And this year the Cardinals can spend freely on the FA market, because none of the Cardinals' UFAs are going to get top dollar contracts that could amount to comp picks.

Its really up in the air on the Bergstrom trade, as he was cut by the Ravens after 4 games but then picked up by the Redskins and played 9 games.

Signed with the Arizona Cardinals on May 3, 2017... Traded to the Baltimore Ravens on September 1, 2017... Released by the Ravens on October 19, 2017... Signed with the Ravens on October 21, 2017... Released by the Ravens on October 23, 2017... Signed with the Washington Redskins on October 25, 2017.

Does those 4 games make the trade valid for a draft pick. That's the question that i cannot find the answer yet from the cardinals or the NFL.

It all depends on what the agreed condition was. One would think that 4 games should warrant the 7th round pick. But, could the condition have been 5 or 6 games?

I have no clue, but even still, it’s a 7th round pick.

Darren Urban says the Cardinals will not get the seventh round pick because Bergstrom did not meet the criteria while in Baltimore. I don't know what the conditions were either, so I don't now if he is right.

The Cardinals had traded offensive lineman Tony Bergstrom to the Ravens for a conditional seventh-round pick last summer, but conditions were not met and the Ravens kept the pick.

Doubt that comp pick value is decided by the teams involved in a trade.
