B, should've gone harder at everette brown or connor barwin. Overall good draft though, hopefully these guys can contribute.

I am not getting the C's. Please explain what was average about this year's draft (in which we were picking second to last each round).

Last year, I thought the draft was all potential-based and proved to be wrong (happily!). This year I'm happy with most, confused with others and can't wait for OTA's!!

Well that's exactly why this draft is average at best because its harder to get better than average players at #31 after round 1.

I give it a B only because of Wells. The rest of the picks are all projects and I haven't seen as many picks hardly anybody knew since before the days of the internet. But that's something we better get used to.

Now if we are going to grade based on where we picked I'll have to pass because I have no experience in grading a Cards draft this far down.

I'll have to give it a B. I love the picks from the 1st to 3rd...But when we picked Greg Toler it made me scratch my had and say who? I do know he could be like TH and produce out of no where but I would have gone ILB like McRath (I think he was there still im not sure?) But I love the picks of Herman Johnson (had him as a possiblity in my mock draft) and Will Davis if he plays like he did when he was a junior we got nice value in that pick. I'm kinda iffy on Howling though I like the kids heart but I would have gone NT since Branch isn't panning out at the moment. As for the 2nd 7th round pick whats not to like about getting the 6th rated Guard in the draft with Trevor Canefield.

I gave the Cards and A just for the Wells pick. I cannot believe he was availableat 31. I think he will be our Gore.

B overall. We had a nice first day with the Beanie pick and Brown is going to be the pass rusher we need on the outside.

A couple of second day picks were head scratchers to me. We left the draft thin at ILB, C, and still don't have a reliable KR/PR.

Look at all the mock drafts in the contest thread. Most of them had Wells going top 15.

An awesome development for the Cards to have CW still there at #31.

I think most of the B's will become A's by the end of the season, and the rest by the end of next season. This was a very intelligent draft by the Cards. I hover around a-/b+ but for the purposes of this poll, I voted for A.

Wells is going to end up surprising even those who like him now, I am calling it now. He is going to excel with Kreider busting heads for him.

C and being generous. This 2009 draft may go down as the worst crop for the entire league. One of those off years.

I give them a B. It is hard to do much better when you are drafting #31.

If Wells turns into the running back the Cards need, my "B" turns into an "A."

No way to tell. Check back in two or three years.

Initial impressions are always alright, and it's a great way to provide perspective in 3 years when we look back in shame on how badly we screw up.

You were not a happy camper today. :)

I voted B, but I typically want to be conservative in regards to draft grade. No one on this board can tell me the first three picks could have gone better considering who was on the board at the time of our picks, no one.

I'm surprised that no one graded the draft a D.

The Wonderfull Whiz is the man. His drafts have proved to be excelent considering it's a crap shoot. Our first three picks have a real good chance of becoming solid or better than that in Wells and Brown's case. Our last 4 picks are at least as good as anybodys 4-7 in my opinion. Especially the 6"7 350 lb guard. I'm giving Whiz an A. He has put the Cardinals on the map to stay.

With how late we are picking it's obvious we won't have a 2004-esque draft. I give it a B because we hit the big needs. With the potential this class has I can easily see the B turn into an A.

C:

Didn't do anything to improve the pass rush at all and/or to get Dansby Insurance and Wells's ability to stay healthy and give consistent effort is a huge concern of mine.

I hope I am wrong, but I fear I am not...

Edit: if it turns out the Cards are planning on making a run and Leroy Hill and sign him, I can upgrade this draft to a B...
