Cardinals | E. James questioning why he left Indianapolis
Sun, 22 Oct 2006 21:26:49 -0700

The Associated Press reports Arizona Cardinals RB Edgerrin James is beginning to question why he left the Indianapolis Colts over the offseason. James carried the ball 13 times for 34 during the Week 7 game and has failed to top 100 rushing yards in a single game all season. "I wasn't prepared for this, man, I really wasn't. I don't know what we're doing now," said James.

 Everybody knows how bad our OL is, and until this is fixed, we are in deep "S**t". I think Green should be gone and the sooner the better! This team has quit on him!

Hmm... wasn't Edge sure the running game and the OL will be "just fine" when the season would kick in...? Didn't he watch game videos of last season where Shipp and JJ were constantly pasted in the back field?

Edge likes to hear himself speak haven't you noticed that. Adding brain activity to the process would severly limit what he could say thus he doesn't use it. Didn't Edge come from UM?

There you go. What a leader this guy is. I am also questioning why we signed him. Our OL is awful but I dislike James more as each week passes.

I like James but when they flash on the screen that he has more rushing attempts and touches than any other player in the NFL over the first 6 weeks (and probably 7 now) then he needs to accept what his role will be for this year. You could hand the ball off to him on every down and we'd be punting on 4th and 6 all day. Until the OL is fixed, this is what you get.

Cardinals | Cardinals questioning why they signed Edgerrin James
Sun, 22 Oct 2006 21:26:49 -0700

The Associated Press reports Arizona Cardinals RB Edgerrin James is beginning to really really suck, and the Cardinals are questioning why he left the Indianapolis Colts over the offseason and burdened Arizona's fans with his abysmal play. James carried the ball 13 times for 34 during the Week 7 game and has failed to top 100 rushing yards in a single game all season. "I wasn't prepared for this, man, I really wasn't." said James.

That seems to be the motto for the 2006 Cardinals. "I wasn't prepared for this."

Hmm. Lack of preparation is what cost us this game. Coincidence?? I think not.

Man, I've been hearing this every week. Sure the O-line sucks and it ain't getting better anytime soon. But Edgerrin James has conducted himself like a bandwagon player with comments like this. I believe it's been part of the problem. The guy missed voluntary workouts, Pre-season games, had the run of the kennel with special treatment, and rather than get behind his team, he's questioned it all the way to our losing record. Team player? We've just enabled him.

We could have used his money for a WHOLE OL and found out JJ, Shipp, Ferri and Anderson might have actually produced...his ME ME ME attitude sucks and he is SLOW...ever see a PREMIER RB get beat to the LOS by a LB from the other side of the field on a sweep? See Edge...

**** Edge. You wanted the money more than being on a contender so that's what you get. Secondly, you're supposed to be a leader not the first one to jump ship. Third, you're not exactly playing like a Pro-Bowler, O-Line or no O-Line.

LOL no RB ever get s a break with this line. We just got a top RB and because the line is so bad the RB sucks again. Ironic.

I think JJ Arrington is a quality RB. If we had say, the eagles oline JJ would get us 1200+ a year.

Edge has the same proven record coming here as Green. They were made for each other . Always talking about thier past. Heck, with practically the same backs our combo of Shipp and JJ last year did better.

Edge sucks. He is the worst free agent signing ever. Hopefully they will suspend his ass. He isn't a leader. He is only concerned about Edge. He is slow. He is a waste. We will hopefully see him cut and then he'll sign somewhere else and suck equally. Too bad we let Emmitt go, he could teach Edge what it means to hit the hole.

Who thinks James runs hard?

I do. He ran hard for one play. He ran straight threw the hole that was generated. He gained 9 yards. He needs to stop dancing around and hit the hole, no matter what.

we go through this all the time. I think we should have some Cardinal fan templates and you can fill in the blanks.

"Sure the OL is bad but if ______ would run harder we would be _________!!!"

I really like undrafted FA RB __________ better than ____________ because he runs hard.

I can't believe ____________ is a 1200 yard rusher now!!!! he sucked with the Cardinals!!!

swd is sopt on, JJ arrignton will be a star in someone elses system. Mark it down.

He does run hard once the contact is made but he's certainly not hitting holes hard.

It's not his fault but he's right at what Shipp averaged last year and a half yard below what JJ did.

James being a Greedy A-hole is why he is here. James got his big paycheck, now he can experience first hand the fun and excitement of being a Cardinal.

The first; maybe even first two games he had more pep to his step and jive to his juke, spinning and bolting for positive yardage where it looked like there was none to be found, Better footwork too; quick decisive spin moves and such. However, he has since petered out due to reasons unbeknownst to me. Speculation on my part says acquisition of a slight injury, complexing on tape review and seeing the lack of blocking and thinking you have to dance with the wolves(opposing LB's and S's and such) to get through the trees(Lineman) to yon meadow(Secondary, or the infamous "Second Level"), or just plain quick to throw in the towel if things aren't going your way or even the way you had hoped or preconceived them to be going at a point in time. Only he and the psychics know how he truly feels. Humanity is known for openning its mouth and speaking feelings during difficult times, only to be caught saying things you don't necessarily mean, but through the vehicle of frustration, you voice them as factual based opinion.
*** Disclaimer*** The above is only my stink'n opinion and does not represent my attempts to neither defend nor dismantle the "Edge" in question. Just an observation of events enthrauled within

I too would have liked to have seen JJ, Leinart and Shipp behind an OL of quality. Beit athleticism, coaching, or will power. Combo of the three. Whatever makes a good line great. We know what Edge could do with it. Sadly, we may never know what JJ could do until he's "Shipped" somewhere else...

We should have signed Steve Hutchinson and drafted Jones-Drew instead of signing Edge.

or signed Hutch and Chester Taylor.

Hell, we STILL could have signed Hutchinson after signing Edge.
