Not sure how much having D-Hop changes that considering he’s barely on the field anymore. The Cards have a really bad roster with a lot of free agents. They shouldn’t give him away but if you can get a top-50ish pick pull the trigger. That’s still more value than they gave up for a 27 year old Hop.

I think Hop's future will be decided by the new GM and HC. Bidwill will let them make that decision. Hop may also change his mind based on who fills those roles.

They're not at this point.

The report says that it will be a topic discussed with GM candidates.

So, if pursued, it will be done by the 'new' GM.

Lots of good reasons to move D-Hop this offseason. I'm all for it, if the draft compensation and cap savings is there.

He's 31 years old and has missed significant playing time due to injuries the last two years.
Potential cap savings of 19 million with post June 1st designation
Potential second or third round draft compensation coming to the Cards
He's asking for a new contract and new money
He missed the last two away games, apparently choosing not to support the team
