"Calais is a guy who wants to learn," said nose tackle Bryan Robinson, in his 13th season. "He's always asking what he's done wrong and wants to get better. He's a humble guy already. You don't have to get into his head and bring him with you. He's ready to go."

Campbell, though, doesn't see it like that. He looks at his statistics and kicks himself that he has only a half-sack. He thinks of all the times the quarterback slipped from his hands.

"I know I'm good enough to make those plays," he said. "I should have five sacks by now, and that would put me second in the league. That's crazy. I'm getting my opportunities, and I've got to capitalize when they come."

"He's going to be one of the greats as a Cardinal player," Robinson said. "He wants to learn, and you love that about him. He's a guy who is going to play a long time."

I hope we are raving about him after the colts game. A big game from Campbell would sure help us out Sunday night. I believe this guy is going to be great!

When we drafted him I didn't think he would be stout enough to be effective on the SS end of the 3-4. I am beginning to love crow.

Calais just turned 23 this month. I think those QB escapes will disappear as he matures and becomes even more coordinated.

I don't often do the whole "I have been saying for X time frame that he would be good", but in this case I will! Think Aaron Smith with double digit sack potential and a ton more athleticism. If that doesn't sound to sexy to you go ask a Steelers fan what Smith means to their defense. 10 sacks from a DE in the 3-4 is amazing. He would also be a MONSTER LDE in the 4-3. This kid was worth the pick, expecially if he continues to develop.

Clearly DL for the Cards has become like Wr for the Cards. If I complain about a draft pick, it was a good pick.

I complained loudly about taking Dockett because he was a troublemaker in college, now he's our best DL. And I complained about Campbell after the draft because he played too upright and underachieved in college and now he's a budding star.

Throw in my we should have taken Roy Williams over Fitz call from a few years ago and you can see my point. If it's a WR or a DL do the opposite of what I say.

I really like what CC has been doing so far. The guy has a great attitude and wants to improve. I look for big things from him.

THIS ONE IS FOR YOU KOC. TIM WE DID IT.
I like what he has been doing so far as well. but he either needs to stop eating sticks of butter before the game or maybe Kurt will loan him a pair of gloves so he can take the qb down instead of just brushing the flies off of their jerseys

I'd SAY THE LIGHT WENT ON ,IN A BIG WAY FOR THE WHOLE DEFENSE AND CALAIAS' CAMPBELL IS ONE OF THE BELL COWS FOR THIS DEFENSE FOR SURE!!!!

WHO KNEW THOSE OLD LEGS ON HAGGANS,OKEAFOR,& BERRY STILL HAD LIFE????:D

Loved watching Baldy blow up on the sidelines. We even get to give them a home try in about 4-5 weeks again. So then we can thanks for the memories. I don't think Baldy expected what he got today. It can't all be blamed on the weak offensive line that put up 41 points last week?Williams played 3 quarters last week.

I hope we learned our lesson on fake punts or we would have shut them out!!!!!!

You can put CAMPBELL ANYWHERE and he's gonna bring it!!!:D

What a TREMENDOUS draft choice! CC has the chance to become a true, elite DE. Should be fun watching him develop. He's got everything needed to become one the best... Hope it happens!!!!

Watch what happens with Dockett when DC's start having to account for Campbell!

On another note the resurection of Alan Branch is nothing short of Miraculous.

Hey Wendall Bryant you watching?

Great points Duck! I still think Branch is nowhere near reaching the potential he possesses. BUT - his turnaround this season really is stunning. Like Campbell, Branch has all of the phyiscal tools needed to become one of the elite at his position. Unlike CC, up to this point he hasn't shown the heart...That seems to be changing! Amazing!

Also, while we're at it. How 'bout Big Gabe? He seems more healthy than he's been in a long time and his play has never been better!

Whoever our d-line coach is, he deserves a raise.

it's all about confidence and the Cards DL should be the most confident in the league.Afterall, they get to go up against our OL all week in practice. They have to think it's pretty easy out there.:p

Campbell has more sacks, tackles, tackles for loss, QB hurries, QB hits, passes defensed, and forced fumbles then Antonio Smith does. Also keep in mind Campbell has only played in 5 games where as Smith has played 6.

Teams are staring to actually double Campbell. I have seen more and more as the season moves along. When the Cards go with a 3 man front with Campbell on the outside and Dockett playing the nose, Branch is left all alone on the other side and is partly the reason for the emergence of Branch. Teams are so worried about Dockett and Campbell in that formation that Branch is forgotten and Branch is making teams pay for it. If you notice close enough we are running that formation a lot as the season goes on.

The way you beat our front 7 is to max protect on every pass play. We can rush the passer very well if you go one on one with us. But like the Colts and Houston showed if we have to face max protect, and both did a lot of it, we wont win many of those battles. Its why I feel we are one good speed rusher away from being a strong pass rush team.

I noticed the Colts doubling C.C. on several occasions.
