Signs are definitely pointing toward us taking an RB in the mid-rounds. I assume we'll likely cut ties with LSH. It's kind of a shame, but Beanie and Ryan need one last chance to prove they can remain healthy, and LSH is kind of a luxury.

Hmmm. Both Christopher and Washington weigh 220+. I'm more worried if I'm Beanie.

It wasn't an "allegation" except that he was alleged before he was convicted and sentenced.

She said Washington deserved the maximum sentence because he never took responsibility for his actions, forcing the victim to testify about the incident in court. Washington knew what was at stake, she said in reference to his professional career, but he made those decisions anyway.

Washington’s accuser, a 24-year-old University of Missouri graduate who was his former tutor, told the jury she was asleep June 19, 2010, in her Campus View apartment after a night of drinking when she was awoken by a man sexually touching her in her bed.

She said Washington shared a “friends with benefits” relationship with her roommate and was known to visit the apartment during the early morning. The victim also said she tutored Washington for two semesters before the assault.

Slusher argued the two women fostered hard feelings against the MU Athletic Department and athletes. During her deposition, the victim referred to the athletes she tutored as “children” and said although she associated with athletes through the programs, she had no romantic interest in them.

Sounds like a pretty classy guy. And then there's this, from the same article:

Yesterday’s sentencing concludes one of two criminal cases that led to Washington’s dismissal from the football team last year. The other case involved allegations from an ex-girlfriend who said Washington hit and choked her.

I don't care if this guy could rush for 2000 yards. I don't want him anywhere near my football team.

Unsavory yob, but he's done his time. It's my view, that if Jeffrey Dahlmer was 6'5 and ran a 4.3, they'd say he had an eating disorder and that with the help of a nutritionist and God, he'd soon overcome the problem.

Character issues aside, what's important here is that they're looking at RBs with Beanie's size and weight. Maybe he should start auditioning for those 31 other teams again.

Or..or...or...maybe it's a not-so-subtle message to Beanie and his agent that they might want to consider a contract restructure.

He's on the last year of a rookie contract, not sure there is much there to restructure. If you mean take a pay cut, why wouldn't he rather just be cut and hit free agency where he can sign a longer term deal?
