So within the numbers - it's pretty plain to see that across the board - the Cardinals are really a bad football team.
In comparison to the rest of the league, there really isn't much the team is doing well this season.
On offense, the league bottom rushing attack drags down the slightly above average passing attack - for some dreadful Total Yards, PPG & 3rd Down Conversion numbers.
On defense, other than an average ability to stop the run - the defense team as a whole is well below average.
On Special Teams - Scott Player's average distance on punts is totally negated by an awful punt coverage team, meaning that the Cardinals are the worst in the NFL at moving the ball via the punt.
Neil Rackers accuracy problems put his FG% well near the bottom, despite being near the top of the league in attempts.
The Return game is average - with the Punt return team pushing slightly into above average territory.
The huge amount of defense takeaways, is really marred by the huge amount of offensive giveaways, even despite that the Cardinals rank 4th in the NFC in Differential.
Penalties this year have been dreary as well - with the team near the top in both penalties earned and yards lost.
As can be seen from the last time I did this rundown two weeks ago, the defense has improved - at least relative to the rest of the league - while the offense and special teams have taken a step back.
