Don't know much about him. I'm assuming an ILB? Potential starter if we don't get Simmons?

Scratch that, OLB, but claims he has played every position at LB and even a game at SS over the past four years.

Need for info on the guy, but seems versatile.

I like that we are going into the draft having filled a lot of needs so we can take BPA

Campbell has developed as a player during his four seasons with the Falcons after the team selected him in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft and has started a total of 59 games, including five playoff games. Campbell was the Falcons' leading tackler in both 2019 and 2018, finishing those seasons with 129 and 94 tackles, respectively. He also provides versatility in coverage for Atlanta and is the player the Falcons often like to match up against opposing tight ends.

They must intend to play him inside but man that is a risky use of cash

As far as his game goes, he has proven to be solid against the run, a reliable tackler, and an effective pass rusher when asked. According to Pro Football Focus (subscription required), they credited Campbell with 23 run stops, which is a run play that results in a “loss” for the offense. This was tied for the 24th most out of the 59 linebackers that qualified and was the same amount that Littleton had as well.

PFF would also record just seven missed tackles for Campbell which was the 10th fewest in the NFL of the 58 linebackers who played at least 50 percent of their team’s snaps. Not bad at all, especially considering how often he was around the ball with his 100 plus total tackles.

Campbell has also displayed positional versatility which is something that Mike Pettine will be a fan of. Of his 921 defensive snaps in 2019, over half were taken from the box, which is to be expected, but another 249 came from the defensive line. Additionally, 99 snaps came as either the slot corner, the out wide corner or as the free safety.

However, an area of his game where he can improve upon is in coverage. While Campbell moves well, this past season he allowed 58 receptions on 69 targets with an average of 10.6 yards per catch, along with four touchdowns and opposing quarterbacks had a passer rating of 110.9 when throwing his direction.

Ultimately, Campbell isn’t the player Cory Littleton is, but that shouldn’t be the expectation either.

Sounds like a decent player, not going to be a ton of help in coverage but athletic, experienced, versatile and durable.

He is literally Simmons lite. By far not as athletic as Simmons, but who is lol. Still a long athletic off-ball LB who can hit and cover. Like the fit. With Campbell and Kennard we got 2 very versatile LBs. Unless Simmons or Okudah drop, it really seems we will attack the RT spot at #8.

For those who are still thinking WR at #8, I will just use two comparisons:
1. Basketball-There is only 200 minutes of PT. (College)
2. Football-There is only one football. (Pro/College)
