"There's 3 ways to do things; the right way, the wrong way, and the Max Twerk way!"
"But isn't that the wrong way?"
"Yeah, but faster."

Was SD's 3rd round pick in 2016. Might be a good add long term.

Here's his NFL draft profile

Analysis
Strengths
Exceptional athleticism with elite movement skills in space. Asked to pull for wide sweeps and was frequently downfield leading the charge on screen passes. Natural bender with the ability to play with leverage. Won't over-commit to a basic secure block in running game which allows him to climb to his target with consistently successful angles. Stalks his prey in space and is able to adjust to moving targets. Plays with patience. Will allow defender to declare a gap before latching on with a well-timed punch and snapping hips under him. Refuses to quit on a rep. Possesses huge, strong hands that snatch target and allow him to hang against aggressive power players looking to shed. Plays with consistent hand placement. Maintains proper base and can drop a decent anchor against bull rushers. Has played at four of the five spots along the offensive line.
Weaknesses
Lean, lanky build that looks more like a freshman tackle than a senior center. Has played at a weight well below the norm for an NFL starting center and scouts concerned that keeping mass on his frame will be an issue. When interior players get on his edge, redirecting with the necessary power will be a problem. May need to compensate for a lack of NFL power by adjusting his angles and footwork in order to secure his blocks. Must hit the weights and the training table as much as he can. Opens himself to swim moves by leaning into blocks at times. Would like to see him finish a higher percentage of his second level blocks. Suffered a season-ending knee injury in October which is likely to alter his predraft workouts.

Pros
Frame and length are appealing. Huge hands. One of the best pulling lineman I’ve ever scouted. Finds his assignment and hits his target with incredible consistency. Outstanding to the second level, explodes out of his stance and attacks linebackers with controlled aggression. Movement skills are elite. Range as a blocker far exceeds the norm. Angles in space are almost always perfect. Runs his feet through contact to turn and seal defenders. Hits reach blocks consistently. Arrives with a pop to jolt defenders. When pass rushers get on his edge, quick to recover and run opponents out of the pocket. Lateral quickness and active eyes to respond to twists and delayed pressure. Positional versatility is alluring, 14 starts at left guard, 13 at center, five at left tackle, one at right tackle. High-effort player whose work rate will exceed expectations.

Cons
Fights his height at times, as defenders get under his pads and generate a push. Gives too much ground to power rushers in pass protection. Doesn’t have a lot of sand in his pants (rumored to be playing around 280 pounds at USC) and struggles to anchor against bull rushes. Punch needs to be directed inside, hands get wide and pass rushers work into his chest. Catches rather than punches and can be late with his hands. Knocked to his knees too often on tape. Not a guy who will create a lot of movement off the ball in the run game. Needs to sink his hips and explode through contact. Torn ACL ended his senior season prematurely, and has kept the center from pre-draft workouts.

I’m not sure I’ve seen a lineman move with the explosiveness and fluidity that Tuerk does in space, yet maintain such a controlled style of play. Tuerk rarely misses blocks at the second level or on the perimeter, arriving with a pop and running his feet under him to secure defenders and seal off rush lanes. He’s equally dominant in zone schemes and on pulls, where the lineman has the cat-like quickness out of his stance to stun opponents.

Seems he could be pretty good if (a big if) he doesn't get blown off the ball. Probably explains the PED suspension.
