My brother was at the game yesterday and he said that Keim and Bidwill were standing next to each other on the sidelines and when Larry dropped that last pass, Keim stormed off the field and Bidwill stayed. He said it looked as if the 2 were “having words”.

I hope Michael holds them to the fire. The poo we've been put through the past 2 seasons is absolutely ridiculous. I screamed at the radio this morning when Keim said "I take this personal". I was like "we take this personal too!". I'm giving them a pass to right the ship because of the first 3 years of him taking the team over but there's definitely a countdown.

Like Arians but what in the world was he thinking on Logan Thomas, Ryan Lindley and Blaine Gabbert? you don't need to be an NFL coach to know they don't belong in the league. my god

The "quarterback whisperer" isn't whispering he just has emphysema I think. Sometimes a coach gets a much undeserved reputation, I think even Whiz did with his time with Big Ben and Rivers.

Reality is we want the Cardinals to lose. It's 100% about the draft pick now and every loss brings them more value. This team is a dumpster fire.
No "we" don't. There is no guarantee that a higher pick brings better value. Here is what a player (Josh Norman) would tell you, you play hard for your teammates, the fans, and the organization that pays your salary. Maybe you've never played competitive sports, but to me you play to win...ALWAYS!

Across the locker room, Josh Norman told reporters how he had a surprise family get-together last week in honor of his 30th birthday. He enjoyed it.

“I apologize to my family, but this win means more to me than that. It does, man,” Norman said. “Who cares [if it had no playoff implications]? When you suit up and put your pads on, you step on that field, it doesn’t matter. You’re playing for pride, you’re playing for dignity, for character and honor, and you’ve got to have that in yourself, in your morals, in your core, to win. I don’t care if we’re one and 15 or friggin’ 12 and [4]. Whatever. It don’t matter.”

The only entertainment will be to see how many hits it take to knock him out of the game. Giants D is fairly decent with pass rush gonna kill our Oline. Another smart decision BA...:sarcasm:

BA is loyal to the end. Giving Stanton what amounts to a couple pre-season games to showcase his skills for a potential suitor for next year.

Verdict - Gabbert looks the part, but he doesn't make plays.

Injuries have ruined this season (pretty much league wide). Big Earl was sitting on his couch one Sunday and starting for the Cards the next. They've gone through four different left tackles and multiple players at every position other than center.

Well, shoot...i was kinda hoping I could.see Gabbert in live action. Maybe it will be like the game I went to in Denver a couple of years ago where Stanton got knocked out of the game and in came my hope for QBOF, one Logan Thomas. My hopes were dashed by the 3rd quarter but it was fun for the 20 min he lasted.

Could history repeat itself and Stanton goes down? Sadly Gabbert was a sugar high and I'm crashing hard.

I am right there with Norman on that one.

Those guys all went into a year as the #3 QB. Name another #3 QB in the NFL. After you look it up, you'll likely find similar QB's, except that Gabbert can still be a decent #2.

At least the Cardinals did the smart thing and took a close look at Gabbert. He provided some flashes, but the spark faded pretty quickly.
Exactly.

A couple weeks ago, there were posts about going into next with Gabber over Palmer. That was never going to happen but I'm not going to pile on Gabbert. He's a #2 QB and there's nothing wrong with that.

There is another possibility. The offensive line is so bad and except for Fitz the receivers are poor also that Gabbert had little chance to shine in the next two games. So Stanton is the sacrificial lamb. BA did praise Gabbert which was either a ploy or being kind.

The way BA praised BG it sounded like he was appeasing or patronizing him. BA maintained that BG is going to be "a great pro"---but quickly stated that Stanton "gives the team the best chance to win."

Just another in a long line of loyalty moves by Arians, most of which end up poorly. Maybe Stanton has incentives in his contract. :bang:

can we now stop with the Arians has won games with a 3rd string QB!

Gabbert/Stanton... was no difference. Both are interchangeable 2nd/3rd stringers.
Respectfully disagree. Stanton has the stronger arm. Stanton is more your traditional upright pocket QB. Gabbert has more mobilty. He also has more streaky accuracy. Stanton has better red zone productivity. Neither has set the world on fire. Neither has been blessed with elite pass blocking.

Whatever, it's not like there is much of a difference other than I think Stanton is probably smart enough to actually throw the ball away once he is out of the pocket instead of running out of bounds for a 5 yard loss.

Whomever is back there throwing the ball, I just hope the game plan these last two games is to force feed Fitz. I'm talking like Kobe's last game feed him. Just keep throwing him the ball every single play regardless of score, double teams, whatever it takes to pad his stats as much as possible. We can lose by 50 as long as Larry gets 10 for 120.

I mean why not? What else is there to prove or play for at this point? They already run that stupid WR screen the first drive of every game to keep his streak going. Why not go all in? Nothing else that happens in these last two games means a damn thing.

So much of Larry's career has been wasted playing on garbage teams with garbage QBs. 2017 has just been the latest chapter. Were these to be his last two games, in true Cardinal fashion it would be an unfortunate but fitting end.

Biggest matchup challenge: Giant receivers win 75% of contested or "gotta make it" catches.

Cardinal receivers only win about half that percentage.

What would you rather have... the Seattle win on the road last year or Desean Watson?

I get that the players always want to win. It’s their job. But I’ll never understand fans celebrating completely meaningless wins at the end of one season that will have negative repercussions the next year... and beyond.
