Cardinals Support Chavez Celebration

Tempe, Arizona — The Arizona Cardinals will participate
at the Chicanos Por La Causa “Cesar Chavez Unity
Celebration” on Tuesday, March 30 from 9:00 a.m.-2:00
p.m. at Barrios Unidos Park, 14th Street and Mohave,
Phoenix.
Festivities will start with a short ceremony at Santa
Rita Hall, 1017 E. Hadley, where Chavez fasted for 25
days in 1972. The celebration then moves to Barrios
Unidos to commemorate the birthday and legacy of
Chavez.
The Cardinals will offer a booth with free giveaways, a
Gatorade Junior Training Camp, and inflatable games. A
presentation of contest winners for the “Legacy of
Cesar Chavez by Promoting Cultural Diversity & Unity”
art and essay contest and a voting booth for kids also
will be offered.
