I'd rather win ugly than lose pretty but this game was the tale of 2 halves. Really bad 1st half and a great 2nd half to go 6-2.

The Good

A Road Win-A win is a win no matter how it comes. Not pretty but I'll take it.

Michael Floyd-With Smoke not being able to go, he really stepped up and had one of his best games as a pro.

Troy Niklas-2 TD's today for his first 2 scores of his career.

CJ2.0-2 fumbles aside(see Ugly), he still had a great, workhorse game. 30 carries for 109 yards. I don't know about you but I cannot tell you the last time we had a RB carry the ball 30 times in a single game. He's never been known as a fumbler so I'll chalk those 2 up to good hits.

2nd Half Defense-In a rare move this season, the defense made the right adjustments and pretty much shut the Browns down.

2nd Half Offensive Line-As bad as they were in the 1st half(see Bad), they really stepped up in the 2nd with scant exceptions. They opened up running lanes and kept Palmer clean for the most part.

Carson Palmer-Another 375 yards and 4 TD's. The one pick looked bad but Fitz was held and CLE got away with one. But all in all he had a good game.

Fitz-Fitz is Fitz. First ballot hall of famer when he decides to call it quits.

JJ Nelson-Good game by the kid. Made the most of his opportunity.

Heart & Character-For the first time this season this team fell behind and came back and played with the heart and character in the 2nd half which they lacked in the 1st. Need more of this.

The Bad

Mental Mistakes-HB was guilty of a couple of these. Massie with the illegal motion that almost cost us a touchdown. Late 1st half illegal shift cost us a TD and nearly cost us a FG try or it could have been a longer try, if it weren't for the Browns being guilty of PI. But they cleaned things for the 2nd half.

1st Half Defense-It's like they weren't awake allowing McCown to pass all over them.

1st Half Offensive Line-29th ranked defense and their line played like the 85 Bears in the 1st half. Again, they got on the ball in the 2nd.

Bobby Massie-I actually saw a couple of plays where he ended up on his back in pass protection. I know he isn't great but he's usually better than he's been the past couple of weeks.

The Ugly

4 Turnovers, Nearly 5-3 by guys who are usually sure handed. Lucky this was the Browns because if you turn the ball over 4 times on Cincy or Seattle you will lose.

Browns Fans-Down 2 scores with the ball with nearly 3 minutes left and they empty out? I know the Browns are bad but man, to give up on your team that soon is horrible. However, they're used to this so they may have a point.

That's it for now(I gotta run to get dinner). Let's hear your analysis.

I expected a much better run game even though we did eventually get over 100 yds. Juke had 3 carries for 0 yds.

Having said that the Browns were selling out to stop the run and our Pass Offense doing well even with the over throws.

JJ Nelson made some great catches but then disappeared, hope he didn't get hurt again.

Floyd was a GAM today and showed he could be an excellent #1 WR.

I'm not a fan of P2 returning punts even though he did have one good return today.

Butler had a gross avg of 50 yds per punt, 2 punts in the game. Hopefully he is done with his slump and it was just that, a slump.

Excellent list NJ.

Good:
Needed road win.
Fighting hard in the second half.

Bad:
Didn't respond well to first half momentum swap/quick change

Ugly:
Turnovers.

The 2nd half defense consisted of trying to beat McCown to a bloody pulp. Which they pretty much did.

Edit to add... The Good.. No injuries that I heard about anyway.

There isn't a single Cardinal who is on the team now who was here when McCown gave us his greatest moment.

Crazy for that guy to be producing as well now as he ever has in his career. Never would have thought he'd still be around.

Ironically enough, the result of his greatest moment is wearing #11 for us.

Add to the good: Cards finished 13 of 16 on 3rd down today. That's INSANELY good. All the numbers were crazy-lopsided. If not for the turnovers, this would have been an all-round ass whoopin' of epic proportions.

Didn't the Cards win in Seattle 2 years ago with 4+ turnovers? Never count this team out.

A blind squirrel finding an acorn does happen but do you honestly believe that turning it over 4 times and beating a team like Seattle is the rule rather than the exception?

It's typically a recipe for disaster

In those 3,301 games, the team that had four-plus turnovers won 651, lost 2,634 and there were 16 ties. That puts the winning percentage of a team committing four-plus turnovers in a game at .200 (a one-in-five chance that an NFL team will win if they lose the ball four or more times in a game).

20% chance to win.

I expected this game to be ugly. Short week and long road trip is a recipe for disaster.

I was super impressed with the second half defense. Way to go guys. I'm really wondering why Massie is still starting.

Which is another bad. The schedule makers. I don't recall them doing this to other teams giving them a near cross country road game after a Monday night game. You'd never see them do this to NE or Dallas or some other favored team.

There were a couple of Cards fans in my section. At the half we didn't really feel too worried. On the other hand, pretty much all the Browns fans felt they weren't going to hold on. They were up 20-7 and while they were excited they weren't too optimistic.

Someone above ragged on the Browns fans. I talked to some of them and listened to the post game show on the radio. They are extremely disheartened. Apparently the locker room is toxic. The GM and the head coach hate each other and appear to be undermining each other in their managing and coaching decisions. No one on the defense believe in their DC. They need to clean house, top to bottom (and that include Johnny Football). I believe it wasn't too long ago that the Cardinals and their fans were in a similar predicament. The fans I listened to gave a lot of props to the Cards and Arian. One even said to me as he was leaving (early): If any team goes to the Super Bowl I hope it's yours.

It was a gorgeous day, we had great seats in a very nice stadium, I got to watch Fitz score a touchdown. The turnovers killed us, but we held strong and did what everyone there felt was going to happen.

(one side note: I guess I was surprised, but there are some HOT female Browns fans in Cleveland. Damn!)

the defense dominated the second half. Of course, it really helped to have Browns receivers just plain drop a number of key passes.
