St. Louis Cardinals ace Adam Wainwright could be out a lot longer than 15 days. While it appears the Cardinals are preparing for Wainwright to be out much longer, manager Matheny would not speculate on a time frame. Several published reports said the Cardinals expect Wainwright to be out for the season. Matheny would only say the pitcher will have an MRI on Monday when the team returns to St. Louis.
