He showed no ability to come back from the acl injury last year and was inactive for most of the games late in the season. Not really surprising to me at all.

Why I don't get is that if you play the 3-4, and just football in general... people can get injured and a big NT needs to be spelled, we have no NTs right now lol

Weren't they fairly disappointed in how Ta'amu came off the injury? Have to figure that he's easily replaceable in the draft. Still have to get a starter

Because he's not a nose tackle. He's only played in a 4-3. He's a likely candidate to take a ton of money from the Raiders because he has a relationship with Del Rio.

I said it jokingly in another thread, but I'm starting to seriously wonder if we're really just going to go to a 4-3 defense or "bear" front (5 DL 2 LB) as our base.

I'm not. He tore his ACL the year before and ever regained his technique and stamina. He was a healthy scratch more than half the season. Love Ta'Amu but at this point, he's not gonna replace Dumpster.
