I am willing to bet that they would still have enough money to do that if both of these guys sign.

Rudd might be a "Green guy," he played in Minnesota for four years. Hopefully this isn't shades of Buddy Ryan bringing in "his" guys.

Is he an upgrade over any of the other LB'ers we have now? I don't know enough about him to say for sure.

I guess Fisher didn't impress anybody with his play last year

He would definately provide good competition and if the was not a starter would provide even better depth.

I would be happy with him or Short as long as they would be inexpensive.

IMO he is an upgrade over Fisher. Could his play have suffered last year becuase of his knee injury the year before, Maybe, but why wait to find out for sure.

I thought Fisher played good last season. Atleast there will plenty of comp. at LB if Rudd signs. It will be interesting to see the speed factor now that Berry is in the mix.

I knew it, we're trading down to take Wilfork and we are going to the 3-4

Rudd is a great tackler and a smart player. He would be a good signing.

So Macklin is a wash vis a vis Barrett......or am I wrong here? Did we "arc up"?

Rudd obviously impressed Green et al more so than Short. Did we need him?

These are questions not statements.

Macklin and Barrett would definitely be a wash. Not necessarily an upgrade but certainly no worse.

Rudd could help this defense a lot in my opinion. On those games where we got blown out, our tackling outside of McKinnon was atrocious.

I watched him quite a bit in Cleveland.

Sans the helmet incident most Browns fans hated to see him go.

The games I watched him he seemed to be in on every play.

Levar Fisher was a Dave McGinnis pet who will be lucky to make the team. Bring on Rudd.

kerouac and wildman and the others are entitled to their opinions. But it's clear that Fisher was no better than average and I don't think Green feels any allegiance to him so he may be replaced.

Fisher is just too small for us and he can't succeed unless he's behind an incredible DL which we do not have. It's not his fault, he will fare better with a different team.

I think it's too early to tell if Fisher will be a good LB or not... he has played 1 1/2 seasons so far in the NFL coming off a knee injury if that is correct.... I would give him another year before I would let him go.... I think with a knee injury this would be the key year to judge him

Shame to have wasted a 2nd round choice on him.....if you all are right, Mac sure made some stupid draft choices over the years!

Poor Green, he really does have a full time job ahead of him!
