I understand the money thing with Davis. But Step is the biggest problem with that Oline. THAT needs to be addressed first.

Were a team that is 1-4 looking at 1-5 real easily.

Were also a team that is 10 mill UNDER the cap.

Not to mention we have the worst Oline period.

Trading an underachieving Davis because of the money ONLY helps the owners pocket books. It will in NO way help this team or the fans like you & me. While Davis is, and will be after next year, overpaid. He was a pretty good guard before we moved him to tackle.

With all the skill players in place all this team needs to do is improve that line & continue to add to the D.

The Cards need to do what ever it takes to fix that line & shipping out Davis who is still out best Olinemen is a STUPID move.

Move him to guard for the rest of the year see if he is worth resigning. BENCH Step, Move Wells to LT where he can handle smaller DE's. Let Lutui have a shot at RG. If Ross continues to stink it up then put Lewinski at RT. We cant just sit on the crap we have been throwing out there.

Point is well never get better by dumping the best guy on the oline. Add around him and Move him to where he was much more effective.

Benching Stepanovich (I refuse to call him Step...doing so alludes to some greatness, which he absolutely does not possess in any facet of the imagination) will not happen. Green has too much lust for his mother (referring to his ego a la Freud) to bench one of his top draft picks. What a lackluster, dumb coach!!!

Green is a stubborn fool. He thinks his problems will all of a sudden get fixed without doing anything.

Then Green is a bad coach. It is so blatantly obvious Stepanovich is very very bad.

I dont understand how the guy can get the talent level up much more than in the past but yet destroy the bad online we had b4 and somehow make it worse...

This is all about attitude, going back to Denny's first days. LD was always rumored as one of the guys who wasn't buying into the program. Denny wants him gone, at any cost. Seems to me Denny kept him at LT to either fail or leave. He would do well at RG and that doesn't fit into the "agenda"

I agree about benching Step, the most important part of an O-Line is a center. Look at all the good lines in the league and they all have very good Centers. Kruetz, McClure, etc.

He known as "Step" because that is what DL do to get to the QB after they knock him backwards 4-yards flat on his back, they "step" over him.

Cards also have a guy named Gorin, that started in the Superbowl with the Pats, he has to be better tjen some of those guys out there!!

get the best 2 Tackles between Ross, Gorin, Wells Lewinski to start

then the best 2 guards Davis, Lutui, Brown, Lewinski

and start Leckey.

I personally would like to see

LT-Wells
LG-Davis
C-Leckey
RG-Lutui
RT-Gorin

That is exactly what I would like to see as our starting OL as well.

I wouldnt mind Gorin either although he seemed to have a hard time pass blocking.

I think he would make a good center with his exp in the league & his run blocking skillz.

anything to get this running game going. it is absolutly patheic. james should be averaging over 90 yards per game. plus have more td than what he has.

Does goring play Center?
Probably not but I think he could do it. He has the Superbowl exp, & is a good run blocker.

He seems to struggle alittle in pass protection but as a center that wouldnt be as much a concern because the center usually helps the guards with the DT's.

All of us bench step crew got our wish. Let's see if it helps out. With this team, a little help means a lot!
