I took today off and the CARDS have been on for the last two hours. I have watched the Q in their own words. Just watched a spot on the Cardiac Cards and now there is a spot on Aneaus Williams. I sure hope they put him in the ROH. Five straight pro bowls for a Card player is unheard of.

The '75 Cards...the memories!!! We had a very good team that was caught up in the wrong era: The Rams, Vikes and Cowboys ruled that time in the NFC. This morning on Sirius NFL radio they were interviewing Roger Wehrli and he thought that the Cards had a good enough team to win a Super Bowl. It is hard to believe that with talent we had offensively that we never won a playoff game. Records of 10-4 & 11-3 and two division championships did not even get us a home playoff game. A record of 10-4 in 1976 didn't even get us to the playoffs. If the Cards would have played at Busch Stadium maybe things would have been differant. Hard to believe that it has been 30 years since then and the greatest era in the NFL, the seventies!!!!

You are exaclty right Bucky. Most people fail to realize that we really had some quality teams in those days.

I was raised on the other side of the state and was a big Chiefs fan but really enjoyed the Jim Hart, Charley Johnson era.

That was great stuff for me to watch this morning.

Larry Wilson was quite the hitter. His 52 ints aren't very shabby either.

My favorite part of the piece was the interaction between Dierdorf and Dobler. Dan constantly picked on Conrad during the piece verbally and rolling his eyes when Conrad would say stuff like "I only bit one guy". Hearing Conrad singing that song during the rookie hazing was also pretty sweet....along with the many clips of those two blocking. Dierdorf was as evident by the clips also one of the games best drive blockers....and Conrad was quite the pass blocker even though it did include leg whips and rolling blocks.

Good stuff.
