Very tall and light in the ass for a DT: 6-6 272 lbs.

Sounds like he'd be better as a LB. After Lott gets a hold of him and knocks him down to 260.

I feel bad for Dykes. He's the new Kenny King.

I feel bad for him too. He worked really hard in the off season. He was probably the only one that had a chance to beat out Robinson.

Hopefully when the Shiek and Dykes get healthy they'll have another chance. The Cardinals are usually very good about that.

As for DE John Fletcher (6-6, 265, Wyoming), while he won't make the roster this year, he could be a very good PS project. He had 24 career sacks at Wyoming, was All Mountain West 1st team, and one of the things he's great at is blocking field goals. He blocked three his senior year...two of which enabled Wyoming to hang on and win close games.

The Ravens have switched Paul Kruger from 34OLB to 34DE and Kruger has been showing promise. This is what the Cardinals need to do with Fletcher. He needs to add more muscle (only did 21 reps at 225 at his Pro Day) and has to try to maintain his 4.82 speed. Fletcher also has a 33" vertical, which is very good for a player his size. No wonder he can block kicks.

As for kick blocking...the Cardinals have what may be the best collection of kick blockers in the NFL with DRC, Calais Campbell and Daryl Washington.

Mitch - thanks for the input on Fletcher. Being a Wyoming Cowboy fan (originally from Wyo), I know he was a standout there. I'm rooting for him to make the the Cardinal PS.

2 things leap out.

1. He was a Raven.

2. He appears to be more a Calais type DE than a Branch or Dockett type.

I'm guessing that - at 6-6, he can add additional bulk to his 272 lbs without losing anything
.

Yesterday he lined up for his turn in the one on ones. I'm looking at this tall skinny guy wearing #65 and I'm thinking "who's that guy"? He lined up against Levi, tried to speed rush by him and Levi just threw him. It was pretty funny.

After that Calais spent alot of time working with him.
