Cardinals | Still Could Snag a Quarterback - from www.KFFL.com
Sat, 21 Feb 2004 17:46:00 -0800

Arizona Cardinals head coach Dennis Green said that taking a quarterback with the third overall pick or the 37th overall pick could happen for the team, but he reiterated that he didn't think a quarterback taken at either spot could unseat QB Josh McCown from the starting lineup in the upcoming year. Green said that the team needs to have two good quarterbacks, leaving the door open for the team possibly drafting one or picking one up via free agency.

Is this a freudian slip.......the 37th overall pick....our 2nd rounder is the #33.....hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Is there a trade down on the tip of his tongue?

Re: Re: cards still interested in a qb

I think this statement by Coach Green is just there for the possibility of Eli falling to us and the Cards picking him (which I don't see happening by the way)

or it could just have been a misprint by the writer, which does happen on occasion.
