Actually, according to Patricia Bender the Cavs have a team option for 2005.

That would be pretty weird for a second round player. You would think that some of those internet sites or Cavs fans would know about that.

It would also be pretty dumb for a 2nd round player to have a team contract option in his contract so they can keep him for another year for like the minimum.

Also Cavs have less capspace than the Suns and could probably offer only around MLE money.

I agree. Up until the last week he was listed as a FA at the end of the season, but now it has been changed to him signing a 3 year deal with the third year being a team option. I've yet to see anything wrong on the site, so I am believing it's probably correct.

HoopsHype doesn't list it, but they wait until there is an "offical" announcement. I ran into the same thing with Jeff Foster's extension.
