Cascade basketball player Rozalyn Schmunk is the winner of the Maps Credit Union high school girls Athlete of the Week, as voted by Statesman Journal readers.
A junior guard, Schmunk was named to the Class 4A all-tournament first team March 15 after helping the Cougars to a fifth-place finish at the state championships at Forest Grove High School.
Schmunk received 49.99% of the reader poll votes. Teammate Olivia Bennett was second (46.82%).

Silverton senior wing Hadley Craig was named to the Class 5A all-tournament first team March 15 after helping the Foxes to a third-place finish at the state championships at Linfield University.
Ruby Halligan, Dallas softball
Dallas junior second baseman Ruby Halligan went 3 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs March 18 to help the No. 2 Dragons open the season with an 11-4 home win over No. 3 Silverton.
Breeci Hampton, Stayton basketball
Stayton sophomore guard Breeci Hampton was named to the Class 4A all-tournament first team after helping the Eagles win the state title at Forest Grove High School on March 15.
Kathryn Samek, Stayton basketball
Stayton sophomore guard Kathryn Samek was named to the Class 4A all-tournament first team March 15 after helping the Eagles win the state title at Forest Grove High School.
