Stoops just got a commitment from THE top JC defensive back in the nation, stealing him from Erickson and not a peep here?

Yes, you don't build a base on JC transfers but great ones can sure help. OJ Simpson was a JC transfer.

We're happy to see it but a lot of JC's never qualify (ie. J'Marcus Webb & Gabe Long), so we try to keep things in perspective. If Stoops keeps winning this year, it will be a great recruiting class with or without this JC DB.

He is getting his associate degree in December and should be enrolled for the spring semester.

Arizona Football has it's biggest game in a decade this Saturday during it's raucous Homecoming festivities. Recruiting takes care of itself and talking about stealing a recruit from a 6-6 football team can wait until the season's over. If we want to discuss how the 'Cats can pull off a miracle then let's go.

Skorp came by and wanted to talk about recruiting and some answered him. By the way, who said anything about stealing a recruit?

I have been going to Wildcat games since 1982 and I usually talk about UofA football on another site, but to say don't talk about recruiting is absurd. The winning season and recruiting go hand in hand. If they had a losing record they probably wouldn't be getting many verbals at this time.

As for the game, it probably is one of the biggest home games since the Bruins game in 1998. I was at the UCLA game and witnessed the 4th quarter debacle. If the Cats would of won that game they would of played for the National title.

The key will be getting pressure on Sanchez. The Cats have not been able to do much of that but they mixed it up last week against Cal to confuse them. What I enjoyed was Mike budding in last week and helping out his brother Mark devise a defensive scheme for the Bears. I hope Mike does that again this week. I have always supported Mike but I am not a big fan of Mark.

I believe Nic is going to have a big game. Griggs needs to put his negative attitude aside and just play the game. And hold onto the ball! Plus, Tui needs to play smart and not try and force the ball. He also needs to get the the ball to Gronk as much as possible. And I hope Money Mike is healthy enough to make a difference.

Beating USC is going to be nearly impossible, but in order to do so you have to have big plays (turnovers, special teams) and get some breaks. I've been going to UA games for years, can't recall last time I was this excited. It's going to be a blast down there this weekend regardless of the outcome.

In all reality it doesnt matter if we win or lose to SC. The Cal game was huge and a loss to SC should not damper anyone's spirits. We have nothing to lose facing SC on Homecoming, playing for 1st place

Some of you will say, well duh, 1st place is on the line, thats something to lose. How many of you remember the last time UA was in first place this late in a season? Win or lose to SC, we need to close the season out strong and a 3-2 finish would be a great year, as long as we beat ASU.

On another note, recruiting is really picking up and from the looks of it the SC and ASU games are going to be huge recruiting weekends. Should UA finish at least 8-4 I think we land another top 25 class and next year should be very interesting with Dykes and the offense, because we will have a ton of weapons.

If we can at least keep the USC game close, it should garner a lot of respect from the nation. We don't have anything to lose, so we might as well play our butts off and hope for the best.
